Return to Jesus with gratitude
Noticing the care you have received helps you live attentively, without denying the difficulties that remain.
Reflection
One of the men who were healed returns to Jesus to give thanks. His return invites us to pause and recognize the good we have received instead of moving straight to the next worry.
Gratitude does not require declaring that everything is fine. You can appreciate a phone call, a shared meal, or a patient helping hand while still seeking answers for what hurts.
Prayer
Jesus, open my eyes to the care I receive each day. Help me give sincere thanks and express that gratitude through my actions. May noticing what is good make me more attentive to the pain of others. Amen.
