Martha was occupied with many tasks and expressed her frustration before Jesus. He did not ignore her effort; he pointed out that worry and agitation were dividing her attention.
Returning to what matters may mean completing one fewer task, listening without checking the phone, or asking for help before exhaustion. Jesus does not reduce your dignity to a finished task list.

Jesus, you know my hurry and weariness. Gather my attention in your presence and teach me to carry my responsibilities without losing what matters. Amen.

Jesus looked at the crowd with compassion and attended both to their need for guidance and to their hunger. He also involved his disciples in organizing and distributing what was available.
Compassion can begin by reviewing the time, food, information, or connections already within reach. Responsible sharing does not guarantee personal abundance; it expresses the concrete care we learn from Jesus.
Prayer
Jesus, teach me to see needs with your compassion. Give me wisdom to organize what is available and responsible generosity to share it. Amen.
